All work and no play makes students into dull boys and girls. Or so the saying goes. So despite the cold weather and the time needed for finishing assignments and Christmas shopping, St Patrick’s students and staff managed to make the effort to enjoy themselves in the immediate pre Christmas period.
Some students were fortunate enough to obtain tickets to watch the staff make fools of themselves in a hilarious production of Cinderella - the Pantomime. The stars of the show were undoubtedly Cinderella in the lead role, and the lovely Prince Charming (Yes folks she really is a girl, beneath all that boy’s clothes costume and pencilled on moustache!). Two of the most delectable ladies on the College staff somehow managed to transform themselves into convincing Ugly Sisters. Credit for this must go to our Mistresses of make up. Many of the cast forgot their lines, (Buttons and Dishonest Dick never learned theirs in the first place), but the audience really enjoyed the spectacle, and the impromptu party afterwards. Many thanks to Malcolm for his sterling efforts as Director.Andrew Lloyd Webber beware: you have real competition in the West End theatre next year!
