St Patrick’s launches Leadership Academy

St Patrick’s International College officially launched its new Leadership Academy on 12 March. On that day Mark T Jones, distinguished orator, leadership trainer, international strategist, consultant, Board member of various leading national and international organisations, and author of several books and numerous articles, delivered a guest lecture on Leadership at the School of Business Management. Students enjoyed his remarkable dynamic and positive thought provoking motivational master class. Md Azam, Head of the Business School, explained that St Patrick’s will soon be offering specialist new courses in areas such as entrepreneurship, leadership, innovation, and productivity under the Leadership Academy programme.
In his lecture, Mr Jones explored the key factors which make leaders stand out from their peers. He believes that many of the current economic and geopolitical difficulties in the world are the result of a combination of a poor leadership, regional/market knowledge deficit and a lack of strategic vision. His views on leadership were well received by the audience and left students with a plenty of positive thoughts as to how they could succeed in their careers. The lecture hall was packed and the speech struck a resonant chord with the audience. Dean Tamakloe, a 1st year Student of Business Management said “I really enjoyed it, when is the next one happening? This kind of thing inspires people, we need more of it!”

At the end of Mr Jones’ speech, Prof. Daniel Khan, Principal of St Patrick’s, thanked him for visiting the College and delivering such a stimulating speech. Prof Khan concluded with a quote from Napoleon Hill’ ‘Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve” and advised students to work hard and make their dreams come true.
Mr Jones’ lecture was organised as part of the SEED programme. SEED is St Patrick’s Student Evolvement & Entrepreneurship Development Club, which organises a regular programme of visiting guest speakers, industry visits, and workshops for the benefit of our students, to allow them to network with leading entrepreneurs and develop links with commerce and industry to support their own enterprise.
