School of Health Care

The School of Health care at St Patricks offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses for those wishing to pursure careers in the Private or Public Health care Sector.

The school is staffed by highly experienced lecturers with many years of experience of working in the Health and Social Care arena. Learning at St Patricks is based on combining real life experiences to bring alive the theoretical backgrounds and models so necessary to understanding current national and International healthcare agendas.

Classes are relatively small and this means that the lecturers are very familiar with their students and are able to support them in their learning throughout their courses. Within the School students are able to progress from level to level whilst still maintaining the relationships they have developed with lecturers which provides them with the stability and assurance that the School has their best interests at heart.

We utilise learning methods that build skills required in the Health and Social Care workplace: team work, problem solving, independent learning and critical discussion of contemporary healthcare issues within this country and abroad.

Though the courses are taught at St Patricks, the qualifications are awarded by Edexcel and University of Sunderland.
