BSc Honours in International Tourism and Hospitality Management

We offer the vocational HND pathway to a full Bachelor’s degree. It comprises 2 years BTEC HND course leading  to a final top up BSc Hons Degree in International Tourism and Hospitality Management. This is ideal for those who have been away from study, need additional academic support or just completed high school to ultimately pursue a degree.

It allows one the flexibility to gain exposure in relevant subjects to be able to assess aptitude and flair for Business and Management careers within the  Tourism and Hospitality sector. The greatest benefit in pursuing this split pathway, relative to the usual 3 year Degree, is that it allows flexibility in planning one's future.

The Undergraduate qualification is internationally recognised and has a blend of modules that covers both Tourism and Hospitality aspects equally giving one a wider range of exposure that may lead to careers in Tourism sector including Transport, NGO's such as UNWTO and Tourism Societies.

On completing each of the HND years, the student is awarded a Higher National Certificate and followed by a Higher National Diploma from Edexcel. The two years build a strong foundation so students may pursue the top up Bachelors with confidence.

BTEC HNDs together with the top up BSc Hons at St Patrick's may be more affordable than pursuing BSc Hons directly at a university campus.

The final BSc Hons degree in Business Management is awarded by the University of Sunderland.
