Staff conference at St Patrick’s
St Patrick’s held its first Staff Conference at Duncan House Campus yesterday, based around the theme of enhancing the student experience.
The aim of the conference was to provide a forum to allow the sharing of experiences, understanding of best practices, and discuss ideas on further enhancement.
The day consisted of a series of presentations by members of academic and non-academic staff, followed by four workshop sessions within the areas of student management, constructive feedback, teaching strategies, and communication & customer service.
The conference also allowed colleagues from different departments to meet and understand what each department does.
Malcolm Thompson, Head of Technology, said: “It has energised the staff and been a very enjoyable and worthwhile experience.”
