St Patrick’s initiative helps local resident into employment

Atiya Patel, a local resident of Newham, was recently recruited to work permanently as a receptionist at St Patrick’s Stratford campus.

This was a result of the college working closely with Newham Council, bringing locals into work experience placements at St Patrick’s.

Ms Patel said: “It's a fantastic idea to give opportunities to residents. This helps to continue the regeneration within the borough of Newham by empowering the locals.”

Newham Council's Nosheen Behram praised St Patrick’s for their community engagement drive and is looking forward to continuing the partnership.
