St. Patrick’s to launch Legal Advice Centre
St. Patrick’s to launch Legal Advice Centre
17/04/2015
St Patrick’s School of Law and the Student Experience Team will launch the St Patrick’s Legal Advice Centre (LAC) this May 2015.
The LAC will offer reliable legal advice for free, whilst providing practical experience for law students who will be supervised by legal practitioners. It will be managed by the Head of the Centre, Miss Kareesha Maitaram (barrister-at-law), with the support of local lawyers and academic staff.
It is intended to be a service for all students, initially advising on the four main topics relevant to our students: family law, domestic violence law, employment law and consumer law and crime. Sessions will be available twice a month for 2-3 hours.
We hope to extend initiatives such as this across the other schools to continue enhancing the student experience.
