St Patrick’s students visit Victoria & Albert Museum

St. Patrick’s School of Creative Industries visited The Victoria and Albert Museum last week.

It was a fantastic opportunity for the students to get an insight into the history of fashion and find inspiration for their work from the different exhibitions. The fashion gallery, jewellery section and Dior dresses and shoes were the exhibits that drew the greatest interest from the fashion students.

They also had the opportunity to watch a small documentary on how to make handmade shoes, and all expressed how highly they enjoyed their visit.

The trip to the museum gave the aspiring fashion designers greater knowledge on the fashion world that they will take home and apply to their course.
