St Patrick’s football team take part in FA People’s Cup

Last Sunday, the St Patrick’s football team ‘Patrick’s Players’ competed in the inaugural Football Association People’s Cup competition.

Organised by the FA (Football Association) to integrate as many communities as possible, the tournament attracted hundreds of 5-a-side football teams. All of them were eager to win the opportunity to go all the way to Wembley on the day of the FA Cup Final, playing in front of thousands.

Patrick’s Players made it as far the quarter finals, surprising many by qualifying second from their group. They showed great spirit and have vowed to come back even better and bolder next year.
