St Patrick’s holds the first graduation ceremony of 2018

The ceremony was hosted by Sir Tim Wilson, Chairman of the St. Patrick’s Board of Governors and Professor Maurits van Rooijen, Principal of St Patrick’s College, both addressed the graduates with their motivational speeches and congratulated them on their achievements.On Tuesday 1st May, St Patrick’s College held its first graduation ceremony of 2018 at St Mary’s Church in Marylebone, London. Over 232 students graduated of which 190 students attended the ceremony with their families to celebrate their hard work, dedication and success.
St Patrick’s alumnus Robert Almonte, who graduated in Information Systems Engineering in 2017, joined the ceremony to share his experiences with the students on this happy occasion.
A number of graduates were also the recipients of various awards, a recognition from the College to their dedication and efforts. These included:
- Award for Outstanding Academic Results: Jokotade Arinola King and Kamal Singh Rana
- Award for Most Inspirational Story: Antonia Adebukola George
- Award for Outstanding Collaboration: Okezie Monday Ezeronye
The college also paid tribute to several members of staff for the outstanding work they do with the ‘Aspire to Inspire’ award:
- Melania Lingurar (Academic Administration)
- Regine Block (School of Hospitality)
- Olusola Leigh (School of Health and Social Care)
- Joy Meme (School of Business)
A reception was held after the ceremony where the graduates celebrated the special day with their loved ones.
Janice Jacques, who graduated in Business Management, said: “For us as students, it was a very special day. A day of celebration and a day to reflect on all the work that we have put into achieving the HND. It was also great that our families and friends could participate and celebrate our achievements.”
