Kings College Hospital NHS Trust

St Patrick’s College is working in partnership with Kings College NHS Trust Volunteers. Volunteers provide practical help to patients and visitors, complementing the work of paid staff across the Trust. King's Volunteers help provide extra support.

They come from all walks of life and represent the diversity of the communities that we serve. All are dedicated to making the hospitals that make up the Trust a little friendlier and more comfortable for everyone.

If you are interested in volunteering at Princess Royal University Hospital, Orpington Hospital, Queen Mary's Hospital, or Beckenham Beacon, please check their webpage for updates about applications for positions at these locations.

About us

We are one of London's largest and busiest teaching hospitals, with a strong profile of local services primarily serving the boroughs of Lambeth, Southwark, Lewisham and Bromley.

Our specialist services are available to patients across a wider catchment area, providing nationally and internationally recognised work in liver disease and transplantation, neurosciences, haemato-oncology and foetal medicine.

Over the last 170 years, King’s has built its reputation as a world class hospital, with roots that lie firmly in the heart of our community. We are both a leading teaching hospital and a local hospital with a diverse inner city population.

Caring for patients from some of the most deprived communities in London, and some of the wealthiest; our world class specialties such as diabetes, liver and sickle cell are largely driven by the health problems of the people around us.

Right from our origins caring for the poor and needy in Lincoln’s Inn, and wounded soldiers from two world wars, the culture at King’s has always been one of creativity and enterprise, and this is reflected in the people we choose to employ.
