About us

Our Voluntary Service team enables trained volunteers to help in our hospitals, deploying them to where they are needed the most. This involves helping on the wards, on main reception, assisting patients and visitors with directions. Volunteers are required to commit to a minimum of three hours per week for a period of six months.

Our greatly valued team of currently more than 400 volunteers is already working closely with our staff. Our volunteers work in many different roles contributing over and above 50,000 hours a year. Volunteers are an important part of the trust and contribute to our value by providing a compassionate and caring experience for patients, carers and visitors.
