Working For Us

We are looking for a dynamic and engaging Employment Advisor to join our team at Volunteer Centre Hackney and help people with mental health issues and other high support needs into paid employment. We provide intensive individualised support to people to enable them to start and continue a successful volunteering placement and ultimately, progress into employment. Through workshops, training and individual support, people are supported to gain confidence, vocational skills and resilience with a reduction in social isolation.

We are seeking a candidate who has a real understanding of the barriers that people face, who have extensive mental health support needs, and who may have never worked in a paid role, to progress towards life goals; and who is equally happy with both providing group support via workshops, as they are providing individual 1:1 support.

We are flexible about whether the role is part-time or full-time as we are keen to find the right person. This can be discussed at interview. This role will be working in a team of three working closely with the Project Manager and Project Support Worker to support people to realise their goals.
