About us

Ken Deary established Right at Home in the UK in 2010, having experienced the difficulties of finding good care for an immediate family member first-hand. He knew that in America, where Right at Home has more than 350 offices and 20 years experience, care companies delivered a very different promise – ensuring that their clients’ dignity, independence and personal choices remained their top priority at all times.

After an intense few months of preparation, Ken and a small but dedicated team finalised the policies and procedures needed to deliver this new method of highly personalised, professional homecare in the UK.

The first office opened in Preston, Lancashire; quickly received its registration from the Care Quality Commission (CQC), getting their best possible rating (Good) for the initial inspection, and began delivering homecare services in April 2010.
